The Dorset Tourism Awards were a doubly special occasion for The Grove Hotel as we picked up Silver in the Best Small Hotel category and The Unsung Hero Award for our General Manager Brenden Howard. This coveted prize is given to the individual who ‘continually goes above and beyond offering exceptional customer service to visitors’.

We are delighted to announce that The Grove was a finalist and 'Highly Commended' in the Bournemouth Tourism Awards 2012. More than 300 representatives from across the town's tourism and leisure industry gathered at a glittering Gala evening at the O2 Academy organised by Bournemouth Tourism.

Cassandra Jardine, the Telegraph's award winning feature writer, enjoyed a short break at The Grove. She planned to write a piece on the Grove but sadly passed away two weeks after her stay. One of her oldest friends Kate Percival, who accompanied her on the trip, agreed to finish the article. We would like to offer our sincere condolences to Cassandra Jardine's family and friends, and express our gratitude to Kate Percival for finishing the article. The Grove opens for business
